Wake up Red energy...
This original abstract design is done in the style of a clutch bag or
evening purse. The ruffled folds of textured fabric, in shades of rust,
red and pale pink, were made from an original photograph of banana
leaves. The bag has an envelope flap trimmed in a deep rust red band,
bordered with pearly pink beads. Tiny pink beads in vertical rows cover
the flap. At the center of the purse is the flap closure, a pearly red
disk with a golden edge and a pink bead in the center. Below this is a
pearly pink teardrop.

Draped in aqua, soothing...
This abstract design is an original photograph of a banana leaf. The photo was taken very close to the huge leaf as it basked in the sunshine. One side of the leaf curves upward, and the other side flows downward looking like draped fabric. The linear curves of the ribs, in alternating highlight and deep shadow, have been turned aqua for this piece.

Dreamy lavender blue...
This abstract design is an original photograph of saw palmetto in shadow, with a burst of sunlight. The long, tapered leaves of the fronds are lavender blue in the shadows, and dark green and yellow in the light. The soft focus leaves in the background are pink with some highlights of orange and red.

These wild birds vary in size, from the largest, the Great Blue Heron, to the smaller but still long legged Little Blue Heron and the short legged Night Heron. The Little Blue Heron is white as a baby bird, and turns dark blue as an adult. The Juvenile Night Heron is a spotted brown color, and becomes gray with dark blue feathers on top as an adult. They are water birds, and the photos show them in many views as they forage for food and pose in their natural habitat. The Great Blue Heron can be seen fluffing up his blue gray plumage to let other birds know that it's his territory. He has a long, "S" shaped neck and a white head topped with dark blue bands on each side. All of the herons have long, pointed beaks. These beautiful creatures on Florida's Gulf Coast are fascinating!
