Tapestries added warmth in castles by covering the cold stone walls. Now we can use them to add visual warmth, color, some drama if desired, and a change of scenery...

The young, green and orange tropical plant in this original photograph is called a screw pine. It is actually a distant relative of palm trees, called "screw pine" because of the spiraling way it grows, and the fruits that look like pine cones.

Calm views...
